Hadith 2997
أَخْبَرَنَا ابْنُ قُتَيْبَةَ ، حَدَّثَنَا يَزِيدُ بْنُ مَوْهَبٍ ، حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو مُعَاوِيَةَ ، حَدَّثَنَا الأَعْمَشُ ، عَنْ أَبِي السَّفَرِ ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ عَمْرٍو ، قَالَ : مَرَّ بِنَا النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، وَنَحْنُ نُصْلِحُ خُصًّا لَنَا ، فَقَالَ : " مَا هَذَا ؟ " فَقُلْنَا : خُصٌّ لَنَا وَهِيَ ، فَنَحْنُ نُصْلِحُهُ ، فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " مَا أَرَى الأَمْرَ إِلا أَعْجَلَ مِنْ ذَلِكَ " .
Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Amr (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates: Once the Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) passed by us while we were repairing our shelter. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) asked: What is this? We replied: This is our shelter and we are fixing it. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: I think the Hour (Day of Judgment) will come even sooner than this.
