The Sick and Related Matters - When visiting the sick, one should touch them with the right hand while praying
Hadith 2970
أَخْبَرَنَا عِمْرَانُ بْنُ مُوسَى بْنِ مُجَاشِعٍ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو بَكْرِ بْنِ خَلادٍ الْبَاهِلِيُّ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى الْقَطَّانُ ، قَالَ : أَخْبَرَنَا سُفْيَانُ ، عَنْ سُلَيْمَانَ ، عَنْ مُسْلِمٍ ، عَنْ مَسْرُوقٍ ، عَنْ عَائِشَةَ ، أَنّ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، كَانَ إِذَا عَادَ الْمَرِيضَ مَسَحَهُ بِيَمِينِهِ ، وَقَالَ : " أَذْهِبِ الْبَاسَ رَبَّ النَّاسِ ، وَاشْفِ أَنْتَ الشَّافِي ، اشْفِ شِفَاءً لا يُغَادِرُ سَقَمًا " ، قَالَ : فَحَدَّثْتُ بِهِ مَنْصُورًا ، فَحَدَّثَنِي عَنْ إِبْرَاهِيمَ ، عَنْ مَسْرُوقٍ ، عَنْ عَائِشَةَ بِنَحْوِهِ .
Lady Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) narrates: Whenever the Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) would visit a sick person, he would pass his blessed hand over him and say: "Remove the suffering, O Lord of the people! You are the Healer, there is no healing except Your healing, grant such a healing that leaves behind no illness." The narrator says: I narrated this tradition to Mansur, so he narrated a similar narration from Ibrahim, from Masruq, from Lady Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her).
