Patience and Reward for Illness and Afflictions - Paradise is guaranteed for one who loses three children before puberty
Hadith 2940
أَخْبَرَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ الْحُسَيْنِ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا شَيْبَانُ بْنُ أَبِي شَيْبَةَ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا جَرِيرُ بْنُ حَازِمٍ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا الْحَسَنُ ، قَالَ : قَالَ صَعْصَعَةُ بْنُ مُعَاوِيَةَ عَمُّ الأَحْنَفِ بْنِ قَيْسٍ : أَتَيْتُ أَبَا ذَرٍ بِالرَّبَذَةِ ، فَقُلْتُ : يَا أَبَا ذَرٍّ ، مَا مَالُكَ ؟ فَقَالَ : مَالِي عَمَلِي ، قُلْتُ : حَدِّثَنَا عَنْ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ حَدِيثًا سَمِعْتُهُ مِنْهُ ، قَالَ : سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَقُولُ : " مَا مِنْ مُسْلِمَيْنِ يَمُوتُ لَهُمَا ثَلاثَةٌ مِنَ الْوَلَدِ لَمْ يَبْلُغُوا الْحِنْثَ ، إِلا أَدْخَلَهُمَا اللَّهُ الْجَنَّةَ بِفَضْلِ رَحْمَتِهِ إِيَّاهُمْ " .
Sa’sa’ah bin Mu’awiyah narrates: I visited Sayyiduna Abu Dharr Ghifari (may Allah be pleased with him) at the place of Rabadhah. I asked: O Sayyiduna Abu Dharr (may Allah be pleased with him), what is your wealth? He replied: My wealth is my deeds. I said: Please narrate to us a hadith which you have heard from the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him). So he said: I heard the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) say: “If any Muslim’s three children die before reaching maturity, Allah, due to His mercy and grace upon those children’s parents, will admit them both (i.e., the parents) into Paradise.”
