Patience and Reward for Illness and Afflictions - Allah intends good for those afflicted with repeated calamities
Hadith 2907
أَخْبَرَنَا الْفَضْلُ بْنُ الْحُبَابِ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا الْقَعْنَبِيُّ ، عَنْ مَالِكٍ ، عَنِ ابْنِ أَبِي صَعْصَعَةَ ، عَنْ سَعِيدِ بْنِ يَسَارٍ ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ ، قَالَ : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " مَنْ يُرِدِ اللَّهُ بِهِ خَيْرًا يُصِبْ مِنْهُ " ، قَالَ أَبُو حَاتِمٍ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ : ابْنُ أَبِي صَعْصَعَةَ هَذَا : هُوَ مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ أَبِي صَعْصَعَةَ مِنْ سَادَاتِ أَهْلِ الْمَدِينَةِ .
Sayyiduna Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates: The Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "When Allah intends good for a person, He puts him to trial." (Imam Ibn Hibban, may Allah have mercy on him, says: The narrator named Ibn Abu Sa’sa’ah is Muhammad bin Abdullah bin Abdur Rahman bin Sa’sa’ah, who is among the chiefs of the people of Madinah.)
