Patience and Reward for Illness and Afflictions - Allah forgives sins of the Muslim through worries and sorrows
Hadith 2905
أَخْبَرَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ الأَزْدِيُّ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا إِسْحَاقُ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ ، قَالَ : أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو عَامِرٍ ، عَنْ زُهَيْرِ بْنِ مُحَمَّدٍ ، عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ عَمْرِو بْنِ حَلْحَلَةَ ، عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ عَمْرِو بْنِ عَطَاءٍ ، عَنْ عَطَاءِ بْنِ يَسَارٍ ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ ، وأبي سعيد ، عن النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ : " لا يُصِيبُ الْمَرْءَ الْمُؤْمِنَ مِنْ نَصَبٍ ، وَلا وَصَبٍ ، وَلا هَمٍّ ، وَلا حُزْنٍ ، وَلا غَمٍّ ، وَلا أَذًى حَتَّى الشَّوْكَةُ يُشَاكُهَا ، إِلا كَفَّرَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ بِهَا خَطَايَاهُ " .
Sayyiduna Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him) and Sayyiduna Abu Sa'id Khudri (may Allah be pleased with him) narrate this statement of the Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him): "Whatever trouble, worry, sorrow, pain, grief, or harm befalls a believing servant—even if a thorn pricks him—Allah Almighty, because of that, wipes out some of his sins."
