Fear Prayer - The seventh type of fear prayer
Hadith 2885
أَخْبَرَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ إِسْحَاقَ بْنِ خُزَيْمَةَ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو يَحْيَى مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ الرَّحِيمِ صَاعِقَةُ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا رَوْحُ بْنُ عُبَادَةَ ، قَالَ : أَخْبَرَنَا شُعْبَةُ ، وَمَالِكٌ ، عَنْ يَحْيَى بْنِ سَعِيدٍ ، عَنِ الْقَاسِمِ بْنِ مُحَمَّدٍ ، عَنْ صَالِحِ بْنِ خَوَّاتٍ ، عَنْ سَهْلِ بْنِ أَبِي حَثْمَةَ ، أَنَّهُ قَالَ : " فِي صَلاةِ الْخَوْفِ تَقُومُ طَائِفَةٌ وَرَاءَ الإِمَامِ وَطَائِفَةٌ خَلْفَهُ ، فَيُصَلِّي بِالَّذِينَ خَلْفَهُ رَكْعَةً وَسَجْدَتَيْنِ ، ثُمَّ يَقْعُدُ مَكَانَهُ حَتَّى يَقْضُوا رَكْعَةً وَسَجْدَتَيْنِ ، ثُمَّ يَتَحَوَّلُونَ إِلَى مَكَانِ أَصْحَابِهِمْ ، ثُمَّ يَتَحَوَّلُ أَصْحَابُهُمْ إِلَى مَكَانِ هَؤُلاءِ ، فَيُصَلِّي بِهِمْ رَكْعَةً وَسَجْدَتَيْنِ ، ثُمَّ يَقْعُدُ مَكَانَهُ حَتَّى يُصَلُّوا رَكْعَةً وَسَجْدَتَيْنِ ، ثُمَّ يُسَلِّمُ " .
Sayyiduna Sahl bin Abi Hathmah (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates about the prayer of fear: One group will stand in front of the Imam and the other group will stand behind the Imam. The Imam will lead this group (the one behind him) in one rak'ah and two prostrations. Then this group will remain seated in their place until those people (the other group) perform one bowing and two prostrations (of the second rak'ah). Then those people will go to the place of their companions and their companions will come to their place. The Imam will lead them in one bowing and two prostrations. The Imam will remain seated in his place until those people also perform one bowing and two prostrations, then the Imam will say the salam (to end the prayer).
Hadith 2886
أَخْبَرَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ إِسْحَاقَ بْنِ خُزَيْمَةَ ، فِي عَقِبِهِ قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ الرَّحِيمِ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا رَوْحٌ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ ، عَنْ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ الْقَاسِمِ بْنِ مُحَمَّدٍ ، عَنِ الْقَاسِمِ ، عَنْ صَالِحِ بْنِ خَوَّاتٍ ، عَنْ سَهْلِ بْنِ أَبِي حَثْمَةَ ، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ مِثْلَ هَذَا .
This same narration has been transmitted by Imam Ibn Khuzaymah with his chain from Sayyiduna Sahl bin Abi Hathmah (may Allah be pleased with him) from the Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) in a similar manner.
