Fear Prayer - The place where the Prophet (peace be upon him) performed the fear prayer
Hadith 2884
أَخْبَرَنَا الْحَسَنُ بْنُ سُفْيَانَ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو بَكْرِ بْنُ أَبِي شَيْبَةَ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا عَفَّانُ ، حَدَّثَنَا أَبَانُ بْنُ يَزِيدَ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى بْنُ أَبِي كَثِيرٍ ، عَنْ أَبِي سَلَمَةَ بْنِ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ ، عَنْ جَابِرِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ ، قَالَ : " أَقْبَلْنَا مَعَ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، حَتَّى إِذْ كُنَّا بِذَاتِ الرِّقَاعِ ، نُودِيَ : الصَّلاةُ جَامِعَةٌ ، فَصَلَّى بِطَائِفَةٍ رَكْعَتَيْنِ ، ثُمَّ تَأَخَّرُوا ، وَصَلَّى بِالطَّائِفَةِ الأُخْرَى رَكْعَتَيْنِ ، فَكَانَتْ لِرَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ أَرْبَعُ رَكَعَاتٍ ، وَلِلْقَوْمِ رَكْعَتَانِ " .
Sayyiduna Jabir bin Abdullah (may Allah be pleased with both of them) narrates: We came along with the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) until we reached the place of Dhat al-Riqa’, then it was announced that congregational prayer was about to be held. Then the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) led one group in two rak‘ahs, then they moved back and he led the other group in two rak‘ahs, so the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) performed four rak‘ahs and those people performed two rak‘ahs.
