Hadith 2868
أَخْبَرَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ الْجُنَيْدِ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا قُتَيْبَةُ بْنُ سَعِيدٍ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو عَوَانَةَ ، عَنْ بُكَيْرِ بْنِ الأَخْنَسِ ، عَنْ مُجَاهِدٍ ، عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ ، قَالَ : " فَرَضَ اللَّهُ جَلَّ وَعَلا الصَّلاةَ عَلَى لِسَانِ نَبِيِّكُمْ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، فِي الْحَضَرِ أَرْبَعًا ، وَفِي السَّفَرِ رَكْعَتَيْنِ ، وَفِي الْخَوْفِ رَكْعَةً " .
Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them) narrates: Allah Almighty has made the command of prayer obligatory through the tongue of your Prophet, which will be four rak'ahs in residence, two rak'ahs in travel, and one rak'ah in a state of fear.
