Hadith 2865
أَخْبَرَنَا عُمَرُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ الْهَمْدَانِيُّ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ بَشَّارٍ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا عُثْمَانُ بْنُ عُمَرَ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ أَبِي ذِئْبٍ ، عَنِ الزُّهْرِيِّ ، عَنْ عَبَّادِ بْنِ تَمِيمٍ ، عَنْ عَمِّهِ ، " أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، خَرَجَ يَسْتَسْقِي ، فَاسْتَقْبَلَ الْقِبْلَةَ ، وَلَّى ظَهْرَهُ النَّاسَ ، وَقَلَبَ رِدَاءَهُ ، وَصَلَّى رَكْعَتَيْنِ جَهَرَ فِيهِمَا بِالْقِرَاءَةِ " .
Abbas bin Tamim narrates from his uncle that the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) went out to perform the prayer for rain (Salat al-Istisqa). He (peace be upon him) faced the Qiblah and turned his back to the people. He (peace be upon him) took off his cloak and performed two rak'ahs in which he recited aloud.
