Sayyiduna Anas bin Malik (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates: A man came to the service of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) and said: O Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him), the livestock are perishing and it is no longer possible to travel, so please pray to Allah Almighty. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) prayed to Allah Almighty. The narrator says: From one Friday to the next, it rained upon us. The narrator says: Then a man came to the service of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) and said: O Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him), houses are collapsing and livestock are perishing. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) stood up and prayed: "O Allah! Let the rain fall on the tops of the mountains, in the lowlands, and in the forests." The narrator says: The clouds cleared from Madinah in such a way as a cloth is torn apart.
