Friday Prayer - Permission to recite "Has there come to you the story of the Overwhelming" in the second unit of Friday prayer
Hadith 2807
أَخْبَرَنَا الْحُسَيْنُ بْنُ إِدْرِيسَ ، قَالَ : أَخْبَرَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ أَبِي بَكْرٍ ، عَنْ مَالِكٍ ، عَنْ ضَمْرَةَ بْنِ سَعِيدٍ الْمَازِنِيِّ ، عَنْ عُبَيْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ عُتْبَةَ ، أَنَّ الضَّحَّاكَ بْنَ قَيْسٍ ، سَأَلَ النُّعْمَانَ بْنَ بَشِيرٍ : مَاذَا كَانَ يَقْرَأُ بِهِ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، يَوْمَ الْجُمُعَةِ عَلَى إِثْرِ سُورَةِ الْجُمُعَةِ ؟ فَقَالَ : " كَانَ يَقْرَأُ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ بِ هَلْ أَتَاكَ حَدِيثُ الْغَاشِيَةِ " .
Ubaidullah bin Abdullah narrates: Dahhak bin Qais asked Sayyiduna Nu'man bin Bashir (may Allah be pleased with him) which surah the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) would recite after Surah Al-Jumu'ah on the day of Jumu'ah. He replied: The Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) would recite Surah Al-Ghashiyah.
