Hadith 2789
أَخْبَرَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ عَلِيِّ بْنِ الْمُثَنَّى ، حَدَّثَنَا عَلِيُّ بْنُ الْجَعْدِ بْنِ عُبَيْدٍ ، أَخْبَرَنَا هَمَّامٌ ، عَنْ قَتَادَةَ ، عَنْ قُدَامَةَ بْنِ وَبَرَةَ ، عَنْ سَمُرَةَ بْنِ جُنْدُبٍ ، قَالَ : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " مَنْ تَرَكَ الْجُمُعَةَ مِنْ غَيْرِ عُذْرٍ ، فَلْيَتَصَدَّقْ بِدِينَارٍ ، فَإِنْ لَمْ يَجِدْ فَبِنِصْفِ دِينَارٍ " .
Sayyiduna Samurah bin Jundub (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that the Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Whoever leaves Jumu'ah (Friday prayer) without an excuse should give one dinar in charity; if that is not available, then half a dinar."
