Chapter on Friday Prayer - Narration confirming the interpretation of the previous narration
Hadith 2780
أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو يَعْلَى ، حَدَّثَنَا دَاوُدُ بْنُ رُشَيْدٍ ، حَدَّثَنَا إِسْمَاعِيلُ بْنُ جَعْفَرٍ ، عَنْ سُهَيْلِ بْنِ أَبِي صَالِحٍ ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ ، قَالَ : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " مَنِ اغْتَسَلَ يَوْمَ الْجُمُعَةِ ، فَأَحْسَنَ غُسْلَهُ وَلَبِسَ مِنْ صَالِحِ ثِيَابِهِ ، وَمَسَّ مِنْ طِيبِ بَيْتِهِ أَوْ دُهْنِهِ ، غُفِرَ لَهُ مَا بَيْنَهُ وَبَيْنَ الْجُمُعَةِ الأُخْرَى ، وَزِيَادَةُ ثَلاثَةِ أَيَّامٍ مِنَ الَّتِي بَعْدَهَا " .
Sayyiduna Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that the Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Whoever performs ghusl on the day of Jumu'ah and performs ghusl well, then wears good clothes, applies perfume available in his house or applies oil, then the sins committed between that Jumu'ah and the next Jumu'ah, and in addition to that, for three more days, are forgiven."
