Chapter on Prostration of Recitation - Recommendation to prostrate when reciting Surat an-Najm
Hadith 2763
أَخْبَرَنَا الْحَسَنُ بْنُ سُفْيَانَ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا الْحَسَنُ بْنُ عُمَرَ بْنِ شَقِيقٍ ، وَعُمَرُ بْنُ يَزِيدَ السَّيَّارِيُّ ، قَالا : حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الْوَارِثِ بْنُ سَعِيدٍ ، عَنْ أَيُّوبَ ، عَنْ عِكْرِمَةَ ، عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ " أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ سَجَدَ فِي النَّجْمِ ، وَسَجَدَ مَعَهُ الْمُسْلِمُونَ وَالْمُشْرِكُونَ وَالْجِنُّ وَالإِنْسُ " .
Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them) narrates: The Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) performed the prostration of recitation in Surah An-Najm, and along with him, the Muslims, the polytheists, the jinn, and the humans also performed the prostration of recitation.
