Hadith 2759
أَخْبَرَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ إِسْحَاقَ بْنِ خُزَيْمَةَ ، حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو السَّائِبِ سَلْمُ بْنُ جُنَادَةَ ، حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو مُعَاوِيَةَ ، عَنِ الأَعْمَشِ ، عَنْ أَبِي صَالِحٍ ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ ، قَالَ : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " إِذَا قَرَأَ ابْنُ آدَمَ السَّجْدَةَ فَسَجَدَ ، اعْتَزَلَ الشَّيْطَانُ يَبْكِي ، وَيَقُولُ : يَا وَيْلَهُ أُمِرَ ابْنُ آدَمَ السُّجُودَ فَسَجَدَ ، فَلَهُ الْجَنَّةُ ، وَأُمِرْتُ بِالسُّجُودِ فَأَبَيْتُ فَلِيَ النَّارُ " .
Sayyiduna Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: "When the son of Adam recites a verse of prostration and performs prostration, Satan withdraws weeping and says: 'Alas! The son of Adam was commanded to prostrate, he prostrated and Paradise will be his. I was commanded to prostrate, I refused, so Hell will be mine.'"
