Section on Prayer During Travel - Clarification that the number of prayers at home and during travel was originally two units
Hadith 2736
أَخْبَرَنَا الْحُسَيْنُ بْنُ إِدْرِيسَ الأَنْصَارِيُّ ، قَالَ : أَخْبَرَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ أَبِي بَكْرٍ ، عَنْ مَالِكٍ ، عَنْ صَالِحِ بْنِ كَيْسَانَ ، عَنْ عُرْوَةَ بْنِ الزُّبَيْرِ ، عَنْ عَائِشَةَ ، أَنَّهَا قَالَتْ : " فُرِضَتِ الصَّلاةُ رَكْعَتَيْنِ رَكْعَتَيْنِ فِي الْحَضَرِ وَالسَّفَرِ ، فَأُقِرَّتْ صَلاةُ السَّفَرِ وَزِيدَ فِي الْحَضَرِ " .
Sayyidah Aisha Siddiqa (may Allah be pleased with her) narrates: Initially, the obligatory prayer in both the state of residence and travel was two, two rak'ahs. Then the prayer of travel was kept in its original state, and the prayer of residence was increased.
