Section on Women’s Travel - Another narration confirming what we stated
Hadith 2720
أَخْبَرَنَا عُمَرُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ الْهَمْدَانِيُّ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ بَزِيعٍ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا حَسَّانُ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا إِبْرَاهِيمُ الصَّائِغُ ، قَالَ : قَالَ نَافِعٌ مَوْلَى ابْنِ عُمَرَ ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ ، أَنّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ : " لا يَحِلُّ لامْرَأَةٍ أَنْ تُسَافِرَ ثَلاثَةً إِلا وَمَعَهَا ذُو مَحْرَمٍ تَحْرُمُ عَلَيْهِ " .
Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Umar (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates this statement of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him): "It is not permissible for any woman to undertake a journey of three days except that there is with her a mahram who is permanently unlawful for her (to marry)."
