Hadith 2701
أَخْبَرَنَا عُمَرُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ الْهَمْدَانِيُّ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو الطَّاهِرِ بْنُ السَّرْحِ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ وَهْبٍ ، قَالَ : أَخْبَرَنِي سُلَيْمَانُ بْنُ بِلالٍ ، عَنْ سُهَيْلٍ ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ ، عَنْ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، أَنَّهُ كَانَ إِذَا سَافَرَ وَجَاءَ سَحَرًا يَقُولُ : " سَمِعَ سَامِعٌ بِحَمْدِ اللَّهِ وَحُسْنِ بَلائِهِ ، رَبَّنَا صَاحِبْنَا ، فَأَفْضِلْ عَلَيْنَا عَائِذٌ بِاللَّهِ مِنَ النَّارِ " .
Sayyiduna Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates: Whenever the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) would travel and arrive at the time of suhoor, he would say: “The listener has heard the praise of Allah and also the excellence of His trial. O our Lord! Remain with us and bestow Your grace upon us! We seek Allah’s refuge from the Hellfire.”
