Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) narrates: I spent the night at the house of my maternal aunt, Sayyidah Maymunah (may Allah be pleased with her). That night, the Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) was also present at her house. The Prophet (peace be upon him) performed ablution, then stood up and began to offer prayer. I came and stood on his left side, so he took hold of me and made me stand on his right side. That night, he offered four rak‘ahs, then the Prophet (peace be upon him) slept until he began to snore. When he used to sleep, he would snore. Then the mu’adhdhin came to him, so he went out and led the prayer, and did not perform ablution again. This narration is also transmitted with another chain.
