Section on night prayer – mentioning a report indicating that the Prophet used to pray at night after sleeping
Hadith 2591
أَخْبَرَنَا إِسْحَاقُ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ بْنِ إِسْمَاعِيلَ ، بِبُسْتَ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا قُتَيْبَةُ بْنُ سَعِيدٍ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ ، عَنْ مَنْصُورٍ ، عَنْ أَبِي وَائِلٍ ، عَنْ حُذَيْفَةَ " أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ كَانَ إِذَا قَامَ مِنَ اللَّيْلِ يَشُوصُ فَاهُ " .
Sayyiduna Hudhayfah (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates: Whenever the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) would wake up at night, he would use the miswak.
