Hadith 2589
أَخْبَرَنَا عُمَرُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ الْهَمْدَانِيُّ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا يُوسُفُ بْنُ مُوسَى ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا عُبَيْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ مُوسَى ، عَنْ إِسْرَائِيلَ ، عَنْ أَبِي إِسْحَاقَ ، عَنِ الأَسْوَدِ ، قَالَ : سَأَلْنَا عَائِشَةَ عَنْ صَلاةِ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ بِاللَّيْلِ ، فَقَالَتْ : " كَانَ يَنَامُ أَوَّلَ اللَّيْلِ ، وَيَقُومُ آخِرَهُ " .
Aswad reports: We asked Sayyida Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) about the night prayer of the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him): She replied: He would sleep in the early part of the night and perform voluntary prayers in the last part of the night.
