Hadith 2581
أَخْبَرَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ إِسْحَاقَ بْنِ خُزَيْمَةَ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا سَعْدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ عَبْدِ الْحَكَمِ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا أَبِي ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا اللَّيْثُ بْنُ سَعْدٍ ، عَنْ خَالِدِ بْنِ يَزِيدَ ، عَنْ سَعِيدِ بْنِ أَبِي هِلالٍ ، عَنْ مَخْرَمَةَ بْنِ سُلَيْمَانَ ، أَنَّ كُرَيْبًا أَخْبَرَهُ ، قَالَ : سَأَلْتُ ابْنَ عَبَّاسٍ ، فَقُلْتُ : مَا صَلاةُ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ بِاللَّيْلِ ؟ قَالَ : " كَانَ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَقْرَأُ فِي بَعْضِ حُجَرِهِ ، فَيَسْمَعُ مَنْ كَانَ خَارِجًا " .
Kuraib narrates: I asked Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both), I said: How did the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) perform prayer at night? He replied: The Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) would be reciting (Qur'an) in his chamber, and a person outside the chamber could hear it.
