Hadith 2570
أَخْبَرَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ عَلِيِّ بْنِ الْمُثَنَّى ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو خَيْثَمَةَ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا يَعْقُوبُ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ بْنِ سَعْدٍ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا أَبِي ، عَنِ ابْنِ إِسْحَاقَ ، عَنْ سَلَمَةَ بْنِ كُهَيْلٍ ، وَمُحَمَّدِ بْنِ الْوَلِيدِ بْنِ نُوَيْفِعٍ مَوْلَى آل الزبير ، كلاهما حَدَّثَنِي عَنْ كُرَيْبٍ ، مَوْلَى ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ ، عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ ، قَالَ : " رَأَيْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يُصَلِّي مِنَ اللَّيْلِ فِي بُرْدٍ لَهُ حَضْرَمِيٍّ مُتَوَشِّحَهُ مَا عَلَيْهِ غَيْرُهُ " .
Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) narrates: I saw the Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him), he wrapped his Hadrami cloak as a mantle at night and performed voluntary prayers; there was nothing else on his body besides it.
