Section on Duha prayer – mentioning that four rak’ahs at the beginning of the day suffice for the end of the day
Hadith 2533
أَخْبَرَنَا أَخْبَرَنَا عُمَرُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ الْهَمْدَانِيُّ ، حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ الأَعْلَى ، حَدَّثَنَا مُعْتَمِرُ بْنُ سُلَيْمَانَ ، قَالَ : سَمِعْتُ بُرْدًا ، يَقُولُ : حَدَّثَنِي سُلَيْمَانُ بْنُ مُوسَى ، عَنْ مَكْحُولٍ ، عَنْ كَثِيرِ بْنِ مُرَّةَ الْحَضْرَمِيِّ ، عَنْ قَيْسٍ الْجُذَامِيِّ ، عَنْ نُعَيْمِ بْنِ هَمَّارٍ الْغَطَفَانِيِّ ، عَنْ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، عَنْ رَبِّهِ تَبَارَكَ وَتَعَالَى أَنَّهُ قَالَ : " يَا ابْنَ آدَمَ ، صَلِّ لِي أَرْبَعَ رَكَعَاتٍ فِي أَوَّلِ النَّهَارِ أَكْفِكَ آخِرَهُ " .
Sayyiduna Na’eem bin Hammar Ghatafani (may Allah be pleased with him) reports from the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) that Allah Almighty says: “O son of Adam! Perform four rak‘ahs for Me in the early part of the day, I will suffice you in its latter part.”
