أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو يَعْلَى ، حَدَّثَنَا الْحَسَنُ بْنُ حَمَّادٍ سَجَّادَةُ ، حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو أُسَامَةَ ، عَنْ حُسَيْنٍ الْمُعَلِّمِ ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ بُرَيْدَةَ ، عَنْ عِمْرَانَ بْنِ حُصَيْنٍ ، ، أَنَّهُ سَأَلَ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ عَنِ الصَّلاةِ قَاعِدًا ، فَقَالَ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " صَلِّ قَائِمًا ، فَهُوَ أَفْضَلُ ، وَمَنْ صَلَّى قَاعِدًا فَلَهُ نِصْفُ أَجْرِ الْقَائِمِ ، وَمَنْ صَلَّى نَائِمًا فَلَهُ نِصْفُ أَجْرِ الْقَاعِدِ " ، قَالَ أَبُو حَاتِمٍ : هَذَا إِسْنَادٌ قَدْ تَوَهَّمَ مَنْ لَمْ يُحْكِمْ صِنَاعَةَ الأَخْبَارِ ، وَلا تَفَقَّهَ فِي صَحِيحِ الآثَارِ ، أَنَّهُ مُنْفَصِلٌ غَيْرُ مُتَّصِلٍ ، وَلَيْسَ كَذَلِكَ ، لأَنَّ عَبْدَ اللَّهِ بْنَ بُرَيْدَةَ وُلِدَ فِي السَّنَةِ الثَّالِثَةِ مِنْ خِلافَةِ عُمَرَ بْنِ الْخَطَّابِ سَنَةَ خَمْسَ عَشْرَةَ ، هُوَ وَسُلَيْمَانُ بْنُ بُرَيْدَةَ أَخُوهُ تَوْأَمٌ ، فَلَمَّا وَقَعَتْ فِتْنَةُ عُثْمَانَ بِالْمَدِينَةِ خَرَجَ بُرَيْدَةُ عَنْهَا بِابْنَيْهِ ، وَسَكَنَ الْبَصْرَةَ ، وَبِهَا إِذْ ذَاكَ عِمْرَانُ بْنُ حُصَيْنٍ ، وَسَمُرَةُ بْنُ جُنْدُبٍ ، فَسَمِعَ مِنْهُمَا ، وَمَاتَ عِمْرَانُ سَنَةَ اثْنَتَيْنِ وَخَمْسِينَ فِي وِلايَةِ مُعَاوِيَةَ ، ثُمَّ خَرَجَ بُرَيْدَةُ مِنْهَا بِابْنَيْهِ إِلَى سِجِسْتَانَ ، فَأَقَامَ بِهَا غَازِيًا مُدَّةً ، ثُمَّ خَرَجَ مِنْهَا إِلَى مَرْوَ عَلَى طَرِيقِ هَرَاةَ ، فَلَمَّا دَخَلَهَا وَطَّنَهَا ، وَمَاتَ سُلَيْمَانُ بْنُ بُرَيْدَةَ بِمَرْوَ وَهُوَ عَلَى الْقَضَاءِ بِهَا سَنَةَ خَمْسٍ وَمِائَةٍ ، فَهَذَا يَدُلُّكُ عَلَى أَنَّ عَبْدَ اللَّهِ بْنَ بُرَيْدَةَ سَمِعَ عِمْرَانَ بْنَ حُصَيْنٍ .
Sayyiduna Imran bin Husayn (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates: He asked the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) about performing prayer while sitting. So he (the Prophet) said: Perform the prayer standing, this is more virtuous. Whoever performs the prayer sitting receives half the reward of the one who performs it standing, and whoever performs the prayer lying down receives half the reward of the one who performs it sitting. (Imam Ibn Hibban, may Allah have mercy on him, says:) In its chain, the person was mistaken who does not have expertise in the knowledge of hadith. Whoever does not have understanding of authentic narrations is of the opinion that there is a break in its chain, that its chain is not connected. However, this is not the case, because Abdullah bin Buraidah was born in the third year of the caliphate of Sayyiduna Umar bin Khattab (may Allah be pleased with him). This was in the year fifteen Hijri. He and his brother Sulaiman bin Buraidah were born close together. When the tribulation occurred in Madinah before the martyrdom of Sayyiduna Uthman Ghani (may Allah be pleased with him), Buraidah left Madinah with his children. He settled in Basrah. At that time, Sayyiduna Imran bin Husayn (may Allah be pleased with him) and Sayyiduna Samurah bin Jundub (may Allah be pleased with him) were present there. So Buraidah heard hadith from both of them. Sayyiduna Imran (may Allah be pleased with him) passed away in the fifty-second year of Hijri during the rule of Sayyiduna Muawiyah (may Allah be pleased with him). Then Buraidah left there with his sons and went to Sijistan. And he stayed there for a long time as a warrior. Then he left there and went to Marw, which is on the way to Iraq. He went there and made it his homeland. Sulaiman bin Buraidah passed away in Marw. At that time, he was also the judge there, and this was in the year one hundred and five Hijri. This will guide you to the fact that Abdullah bin Buraidah heard hadith from Sayyiduna Imran bin Husayn (may Allah be pleased with him).
