Hadith 2501
أَخْبَرَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ عُمَيْرِ بْنِ جَوْصَا ، بِدِمَشْقَ ، حَدَّثَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ يَحْيَى الصُّوفِيُّ ، حَدَّثَنَا إِسْحَاقُ بْنُ مَنْصُورٍ ، حَدَّثَنَا دَاوُدُ الطَّائِيُّ ، عَنِ الأَعْمَشِ ، عَنْ أَبِي سُفْيَانَ ، عَنْ جَابِرٍ قَالَ : دَخَلَ رَجُلٌ الْمَسْجِدَ ، وَالنَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَخْطُبُ يَوْمَ الْجُمُعَةِ ، فَقَالَ لَهُ " صَلِّ رَكْعَتَيْنِ خَفِيفَتَيْنِ قَبْلَ أَنْ تَجْلِسَ " .
Sayyiduna Jabir (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates: A man entered the mosque while the Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) was delivering the sermon on Friday. The Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) said to him: Before sitting down, perform two short rak‘ahs.
