Hadith 2500
أَخْبَرَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ عَلِيِّ بْنِ الْمُثَنَّى ، حَدَّثَنَا دَاوُدُ بْنُ رُشَيْدٍ ، حَدَّثَنَا حَفْصُ بْنُ غِيَاثٍ ، عَنِ الأَعْمَشِ ، عَنْ أَبِي صَالِحٍ ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ ، وأبي سفيان ، عَنْ جَابِرٍ ، قَالا : " دَخَلَ سُلَيْكٌ الْغَطَفَانِيُّ الْمَسْجِدَ ، وَالنَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَخْطُبُ ، فَأَمَرَهُ أَنْ يُصَلِّيَ رَكْعَتَيْنِ " ، تَفَرَّدَ بِهِ حَفْصُ بْنُ غِيَاثٍ ، وَهُوَ قَاضِي الْكُوفَةِ ، قَالَهُ الشَّيْخُ .
Sayyiduna Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him) and Sayyiduna Jabir (may Allah be pleased with him) narrate: Sayyiduna Sulaik Ghatafani (may Allah be pleased with him) entered the mosque while the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) was delivering the sermon, so the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) instructed him, and he performed two units of prayer. In narrating this tradition, the narrator named Hafs is unique; he was the judge of Kufa. This has been stated by the Shaykh.
