Hadith 2486
أَخْبَرَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ عَلِيِّ بْنِ الْمُثَنَّى ، حَدَّثَنَا إِبْرَاهِيمُ بْنُ الْحَجَّاجِ السَّامِيُّ ، حَدَّثَنَا حَمَّادُ بْنُ سَلَمَةَ ، عَنْ سُهَيْلِ بْنِ أَبِي صَالِحٍ ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ ، قَالَ: " أَمَرَنَا رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ أَنْ نُصَلِّيَ بَعْدَ الْجُمُعَةِ أَرْبَعًا " . قَالَ سُهَيْلٌ: قَالَ لِي أَبِي: " إِنْ لَمْ تُصَلِّ فِي الْمَسْجِدِ الْحَرَامِ أَرْبَعَ رَكَعَاتٍ ، فَصَلِّ فِي الْمَسْجِدِ رَكْعَتَيْنِ ، وَفِي بَيْتِكَ رَكْعَتَيْنِ " .
Sayyiduna Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates: The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) commanded us to perform four rak‘ahs after Jumu‘ah. The narrator named Suhail says: My father told me that if you do not perform four rak‘ahs in the Sacred Mosque, then perform two rak‘ahs in the mosque and two rak‘ahs at your home.
