Section on voluntary prayers – mentioning the instruction for one who missed the two rak’ahs before Fajr to pray them after sunrise
Hadith 2472
أَخْبَرَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ يَحْيَى بْنِ زُهَيْرٍ ، بِتُسْتُرَ ، حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الْقُدُّوسِ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ الْحَبْحَابِيُّ ، حَدَّثَنَا عَمْرُو بْنُ عَاصِمٍ ، حَدَّثَنَا هَمَّامٌ ، حَدَّثَنَا قَتَادَةُ ، عَنِ النَّضْرِ بْنِ أَنَسٍ ، عَنْ بَشِيرِ بْنِ نَهِيكٍ ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ ، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ : " مَنْ لَمْ يُصَلِّ رَكْعَتَيِ الْفَجْرِ فَلْيُصَلِّيهِمَا إِذَا طَلَعَتِ الشَّمْسُ " .
Sayyiduna Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates this statement of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him): "Whoever did not perform the two rak‘ahs of Sunnah of Fajr should offer them at the time when the sun has risen."
