Hadith 2457
أَخْبَرَنَا عِمْرَانُ بْنُ مُوسَى السَّخْتِيَانِيُّ ، حَدَّثَنَا عُثْمَانُ بْنُ أَبِي شَيْبَةَ ، حَدَّثَنَا حَفْصُ بْنُ غِيَاثٍ ، عَنِ ابْنِ جُرَيْجٍ ، عَنْ عَطَاءٍ ، عَنْ عُبَيْدِ بْنِ عُمَيْرٍ ، عَنْ عَائِشَةَ قَالَتْ : " مَا رَأَيْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يُسْرِعُ إِلَى شَيْءٍ مِنَ النَّوَافِلِ أَسْرَعَ مِنْهُ إِلَى الرَّكْعَتَيْنِ قَبْلَ الصُّبْحِ وَلا إِلَى غَنِيمَةٍ يَغْتَنِمُهَا " .
Sayyidah Aisha Siddiqa (may Allah be pleased with her) narrates: I never saw the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) perform any voluntary prayer more swiftly than this, nor did I see the Prophet (peace be upon him) seek any gain as eagerly as he would perform the two rak'ahs (Sunnah) before the morning (Fajr) prayer.
