Section on voluntary prayers – mentioning the description of the rak’ahs by which Allah builds a house in Paradise for the one who performs them
Hadith 2452
أَخْبَرَنَا ابْنُ خُزَيْمَةَ ، حَدَّثَنَا الرَّبِيعُ بْنُ سُلَيْمَانَ ، حَدَّثَنَا شُعَيْبُ بْنُ اللَّيْثِ بْنِ سَعْدٍ ، حَدَّثَنَا اللَّيْثُ بْنُ سَعْدٍ ، عَنِ ابْنِ عَجْلانَ ، عَنْ أَبِي إِسْحَاقَ الْهَمْدَانِيِّ ، عَنْ عَمْرِو بْنِ أَوْسٍ الثَّقَفِيِّ ، عَنْ عَنْبَسَةَ بْنِ أَبِي سُفْيَانَ ، عَنْ أُخْتِهِ أُمِّ حَبِيبَةَ ، عَنْ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ : " مَنْ صَلَّى ثِنْتَيْ عَشْرَةَ رَكْعَةً فِي الْيَوْمِ بَنَى اللَّهُ لَهُ بَيْتًا فِي الْجَنَّةِ : أَرْبَعَ رَكَعَاتٍ قَبْلَ الظُّهْرِ ، وَرَكْعَتَيْنِ بَعْدَ الظُّهْرِ ، وَرَكْعَتَيْنِ قَبْلَ الْعَصْرِ ، وَرَكْعَتَيْنِ بَعْدَ الْمَغْرِبِ ، وَرَكْعَتَيْنِ قَبْلَ الصُّبْحِ " .
Anbasa bin Abu Sufyan, on the authority of his sister, Sayyida Umm Habiba (may Allah be pleased with her), narrates the saying of the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him): "Whoever performs twelve (nafl) rak'ahs daily, Allah Almighty will build a house for him in Paradise. Four rak'ahs before Zuhr, two rak'ahs after Zuhr, two rak'ahs before Asr, two rak'ahs after Maghrib, and two rak'ahs before Fajr."
