Hadith 2432
أَخْبَرَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ الْحَسَنِ بْنِ قُتَيْبَةَ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو عَبْدِ اللَّهِ مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَمْرٍو الْغَزِّيُّ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ عُفَيْرٍ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنِي يَحْيَى بْنُ أَيُّوبَ ، عَنْ يَحْيَى بْنِ سَعِيدٍ ، عَنْ عَمْرَةَ ، عَنْ عَائِشَةَ " أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ كَانَ يَقْرَأُ فِي الرَّكْعَتَيْنِ اللَّتَيْنِ يُوتِرُ بَعْدَهَا : سَبِّحِ اسْمَ رَبِّكَ الأَعْلَى ، وَ قُلْ يَا أَيُّهَا الْكَافِرُونَ ، وَيَقْرَأُ فِي الْوِتْرِ بِ : قُلْ هُوَ اللَّهُ أَحَدٌ ، وَ قُلْ أَعُوذُ بِرَبِّ الْفَلَقِ ، وَ قُلْ أَعُوذُ بِرَبِّ النَّاسِ " .
Sayyida Aisha Siddiqa (may Allah be pleased with her) narrates: The Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) used to recite Surah Al-A'la and Surah Al-Kafiroon in the two rak'ahs after which he would perform the Witr as the third rak'ah. In the third rak'ah, he would recite Surah Al-Ikhlas, Surah Al-Falaq, and Surah An-Nas.
