Section on repeating the prayer – mentioning permission for someone who prayed in congregation at a mosque to pray there again in congregation
Hadith 2398
أَخْبَرَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ مُرَّةَ ، بِالْبَصْرَةِ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ مُعَاوِيَةَ الْجُمَحِيُّ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا وُهَيْبُ بْنُ خَالِدٍ ، عَنْ سُلَيْمَانَ النَّاجِيِّ ، عَنْ أَبِي الْمُتَوَكِّلِ ، عَنْ أَبِي سَعِيدٍ الْخُدْرِيِّ ، قَالَ : دَخَلَ رَجُلٌ الْمَسْجِدَ وَرَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَدْ صَلَّى ، فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " أَلا مَنْ يَتَصَدَّقُ عَلَى هَذَا فَيُصَلِّيَ مَعَهُ " .
Sayyiduna Abu Sa'id Khudri (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates: A man entered the mosque when the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) had already performed the prayer. The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: Will anyone give charity to him, by performing the prayer with him?
