Section on repeating the prayer – mentioning a report indicating that the prohibition only applies to repeating the same obligatory prayer, not when intending it as voluntary
Hadith 2397
أَخْبَرَنَا الْحُسَيْنُ بْنُ أَحْمَدَ بْنِ بِسْطَامٍ ، بِالأُبُلَّةِ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ مُعَاوِيَةَ الْجُمَحِيُّ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا وُهَيْبُ بْنُ خَالِدٍ ، عَنْ سُلَيْمَانَ النَّاجِيِّ ، عَنْ أَبِي الْمُتَوَكِّلِ ، عَنْ أَبِي سَعِيدٍ الْخُدْرِيِّ ، قَالَ : دَخَلَ رَجُلٌ الْمَسْجِدَ وَرَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَدْ صَلَّى ، فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " أَلا مَنْ يَتَصَدَّقُ عَلَى هَذَا فَلْيُصَلِّ مَعَهُ " .
Sayyiduna Abu Sa'id Khudri (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates: A man entered the mosque. The Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Is there anyone who will give charity to him, such that he performs prayer with him?
