Section on what is disliked and not disliked for the one praying – mentioning a report that may mislead a scholar into thinking it contradicts previous reports
Hadith 2393
أَخْبَرَنَا الْحُسَيْنُ بْنُ إِدْرِيسَ الأَنْصَارِيُّ ، حَدَّثَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ أَبِي بَكْرٍ ، عَنْ مَالِكٍ ، عَنِ ابْنِ شِهَابٍ ، عَنْ عُبَيْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ ، عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ ، ، أَنَّهُ قَالَ : " أَقْبَلْتُ رَاكِبًا عَلَى أَتَانٍ وَأَنَا يَوْمَئِذٍ قَدْ نَاهَزْتُ الاحْتِلامَ ، وَرَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يُصَلِّي بِالنَّاسِ بِمِنًى ، فَمَرَرْتُ بَيْنَ يَدَيْ بَعْضِ الصَّفِّ ، فَنَزَلْتُ فَأَرْسَلْتُ الأَتَانَ تَرْتَعُ ، وَدَخَلْتُ فِي الصَّفِّ ، فَلَمْ يُنْكِرْ ذَلِكَ عَلَيَّ أَحَدٌ " .
Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) narrates: I came riding on a donkey. At that time, I was near the age of puberty. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) was leading the people in prayer at Mina. I passed in front of part of a row, then I got down from it, and I left the donkey to graze. Then I joined the row, and regarding this, no one objected to me.
