Chapter on What is Disliked and Not Disliked – Permissibility to Pray Facing One’s Mount in Open Space if No Barrier is Available
Hadith 2378
أَخْبَرَنَا الْحَسَنُ بْنُ سُفْيَانَ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ نُمَيْرٍ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو خَالِدٍ الأَحْمَرُ ، عَنْ عُبَيْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ عُمَرَ ، عَنْ نَافِعٍ ، عَنِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ ، قَالَ " رَأَيْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يُصَلِّي إِلَى رَاحِلَتِهِ " ، قَالَ نَافِعٌ : وَرَأَيْتُ ابْنَ عُمَرَ يُصَلِّي إِلَى رَاحِلَتِهِ .
Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both) narrates: I saw the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) facing his mount and performing prayer. Nafi’ narrates: I saw Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both) facing his mount and performing prayer.
