Hadith 2376
أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو يَعْلَى ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ الصَّبَّاحِ الدُّولابِيُّ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا مُسْلِمُ بْنُ خَالِدٍ ، عَنْ إِسْمَاعِيلَ بْنِ أُمَيَّةَ ، عَنْ أَبِي مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ عَمْرِو بْنِ حُرَيْثٍ ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ ، عَنْ جَدِّهِ ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ ، قَالَ : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " إِذَا صَلَّى أَحَدُكُمْ فَلْيَجْعَلْ تِلْقَاءَ وَجْهِهِ شَيْئًا ، فَلْيَنْصِبْ عَصًا ، فَإِنْ لَمْ يَكُنْ مَعَهُ عَصًا فَلْيَخُطَّ خَطًّا ، ثُمَّ لا يَضُرُّهُ مَنْ مَرَّ أَمَامَهُ " .
Sayyiduna Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates: The Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "When a person begins to perform prayer, he should place something in front of him. He should fix a staff in the ground, and if he does not have a staff, then he should draw a line. Then, whoever passes in front of him will not harm him."
