Chapter on What is Disliked and Not Disliked – Permissibility to Prevent Someone from Passing in Front During Prayer
Hadith 2370
أَخْبَرَنَا الْحَسَنُ بْنُ سُفْيَانَ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا هَارُونُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ الْحَمَّالُ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ أَبِي فُدَيْكٍ ، عَنِ الضَّحَّاكِ بْنِ عُثْمَانَ ، عَنْ صَدَقَةَ بْنِ يَسَارٍ ، عَنِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ ، أَنّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ : " إِذَا كَانَ أَحَدُكُمْ يُصَلِّي ، فَلا يَدَعَنَّ أَحَدًا يَمُرُّ بَيْنَ يَدَيْهِ ، فَإِنْ أَبَى ، فَلْيُقَاتِلْهُ ، فَإِنَّ مَعَهُ الْقَرِينَ " .
Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both) narrates this statement of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him): "When a person is performing prayer, he should not allow anyone to pass in front of him. If the other person does not comply, then he should fight with him, for indeed with that (other person) will be Satan."
