Chapter on What is Disliked and Not Disliked – Command to Prevent Anyone from Passing in Front During Prayer
Hadith 2368
أَخْبَرَنَا الْحُسَيْنُ بْنُ إِدْرِيسَ الأَنْصَارِيُّ ، قَالَ : أَخْبَرَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ أَبِي بَكْرٍ ، عَنْ مَالِكٍ ، عَنْ زَيْدِ بْنِ أَسْلَمَ ، عَنْ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ ، عَنْ أَبِي سَعِيدٍ الْخُدْرِيِّ ، أَنّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ : " إِذَا كَانَ أَحَدُكُمْ يُصَلِّي ، فَلا يَدَعْ أَحَدًا يَمُرُّ بَيْنَ يَدَيْهِ ، وَلْيَدْرَأْهُ مَا اسْتَطَاعَ ، فَإِنْ أَبَى ، فَلْيُقَاتِلْهُ ، فَإِنَّمَا هُوَ شَيْطَانٌ " .
Sayyiduna Abu Sa'id Khudri (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates this statement of the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him): "When a person is performing prayer, he should not allow anyone to pass in front of him. He should try to keep him away as much as he can. If that (other person) does not comply, then he should fight with him, for that (other person) will be a devil."
