Hadith 2366
Sayyiduna Basr bin Sa'id narrates: Sayyiduna Zaid bin Khalid (may Allah be pleased with him) sent him to Sayyiduna Abu Juham (may Allah be pleased with him) to ask him what he had heard the Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) say regarding a person who passes in front of someone performing prayer. So Sayyiduna Abu Juham (may Allah be pleased with him) informed: The Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "If the person passing in front of the one praying knew how much sin he incurs, it would be better for him to wait for forty than to pass in front of him." (The narrator says) I do not know whether it means forty years, or forty months, or forty days, or forty moments.
Hadith 2367
Sayyiduna Abu Sa'id Khudri (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates this statement of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him): "When a person is performing prayer, he should not allow anyone to pass in front of him as much as he can. He should try to push him away, and if that other person does not comply, then he should fight with him, for that (other person) will be a devil."
