Chapter on What is Disliked and Not Disliked – Separating Fighters During Prayer
Hadith 2356
أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو يَعْلَى ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو خَيْثَمَةَ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا جَرِيرٌ ، عَنْ مَنْصُورٍ ، عَنِ الْحَكَمِ ، عَنْ يَحْيَى بْنِ الْجَزَّارِ ، عَنْ أَبِي الصَّهْبَاءِ ، عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ ، قَالَ : " كَانَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يُصَلِّي بِالنَّاسِ ، فَجَاءَتْ جَارِيَتَانِ مِنْ بَنِي عَبْدِ الْمُطَّلِبِ تَشْتَدَّانِ اقْتَتَلَتَا ، فَأَخَذَهُمَا رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، فَنَزَعَ إِحْدَاهُمَا مِنَ الأُخْرَى ، وَمَا بَالَى بِذَلِكَ " .
Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Abbas (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates: The Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) was leading the people in prayer when two girls from the descendants of Abdul Muttalib came running; they were quarreling with each other. The Prophet (peace be upon him) caught hold of them and separated one from the other. He did not mind this at all.
