Chapter on What is Disliked and Not Disliked – Report Refuting Those Who Invalidate Prayer for Minor Actions
Hadith 2350
أَخْبَرَنَا الْحَسَنُ بْنُ سُفْيَانَ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ أَبَانَ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو بَكْرِ بْنُ عَيَّاشٍ ، عَنْ حُصَيْنٍ ، عَنْ عُبَيْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ الأَعْمَى ، عَنْ عَائِشَةَ ، أَنّ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ رَأَى شَيْطَانًا وَهُوَ فِي الصَّلاةِ ، فَأَخَذَهُ فَخَنَقَهُ حَتَّى وَجَدَ بَرْدَ لِسَانِهِ عَلَى يَدِهِ ، ثُمَّ قَالَ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " لَوْلا دَعْوَةُ أَخِي سُلَيْمَانَ ، لأَصْبَحَ مُوثَقًا حَتَّى يَرَاهُ النَّاسُ " .
Sayyidah Aisha Siddiqa (may Allah be pleased with her) narrates: The Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) saw Satan during prayer, he caught him and strangled him, until he felt the coolness of his tongue on his blessed hand. Then the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: If it were not for the supplication of my brother, Sayyiduna Sulaiman (peace be upon him), he (Satan) would have been tied up so that people could see him.
