Chapter on What is Disliked and Not Disliked – Description of Aisha’s Sleep in Front of the Prophet at Night
Hadith 2348
أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو خَلِيفَةَ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا الْقَعْنَبِيُّ ، عَنْ مَالِكٍ ، عَنْ أَبِي النَّضْرِ ، عَنْ أَبِي سَلَمَةَ ، عَنْ عَائِشَةَ ، قَالَتْ : " كُنْتُ أَمُدُّ رِجْلَيَّ فِي قِبْلَةِ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ وَهُوَ يُصَلِّي ، فَإِذَا سَجَدَ غَمَزَنِي فَرَفَعَتْهُمَا ، وَإِذَا قَامَ رَدَدْتُهُمَا " .
Lady Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) narrates: I used to stretch my feet in the direction of the Qiblah in front of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him). He would be performing prayer at that time. When he intended to go into prostration, he would nudge me, so I would draw in my feet. Then when he stood up, I would stretch them out again.
