Chapter on What is Disliked and Not Disliked – Clarification that the Prophet Woke Aisha with His Foot, Not Speech
Hadith 2346
أَخْبَرَنَا الْحَسَنُ بْنُ سُفْيَانَ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا الْعَبَّاسُ بْنُ الْوَلِيدِ النَّرْسِيُّ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا يَزِيدُ بْنُ زُرَيْعٍ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَمْرٍو ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو سَلَمَةَ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَتْنِي عَائِشَةُ ، أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ كَانَ : " يُصَلِّي وَأَنَا مُعْتَرِضَةٌ فِي الْقِبْلَةِ أَمَامَهُ ، فَإِذَا أَرَادَ أَنْ يُوتِرَ غَمَزَنِي بِرِجْلِهِ " .
Lady Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) narrates: The Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) used to be performing prayer. I would be lying in front of him, in the direction of the Qiblah, across its width. When he intended to perform Witr, he would move me by touching me with his foot.
