Chapter on What is Disliked and Not Disliked – Clarification that These Prayers Were After a Meal the Prophet Ate with the Ansar
Hadith 2309
أَخْبَرَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ إِسْحَاقَ بْنِ إِبْرَاهِيمَ مَوْلَى ثَقِيفٍ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا سَوَّارُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ الْعَنْبَرِيُّ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الْوَهَّابِ الثَّقَفِيُّ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا خَالِدٌ الْحَذَّاءُ ، عَنْ أَنَسِ بْنِ سِيرِينَ ، عَنْ أَنَسِ بْنِ مَالِكٍ " أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ زَارَ أَهْلَ بَيْتٍ مِنَ الأَنْصَارِ ، فَطَعِمَ عِنْدَهُمْ طَعَامًا ، فَلَمَّا أَرَادَ أَنْ يَخْرُجَ أَمَرَ بِمَكَانٍ مِنَ الْبَيْتِ ، فَنُضِحَ لَهُ عَلَى بِسَاطٍ ، فَصَلَّى عَلَيْهِ وَدَعَا لَهُمْ " .
Sayyiduna Anas bin Malik (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates: The Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) went to visit the house of the Ansar. He ate food with them, and when he intended to return from there, upon your command, a mat was spread for you in a part of the house. You performed prayer on it and prayed for them (the household).
