Chapter on What is Disliked and Not Disliked – Prohibition of This Action Lest One’s Head Be Turned into a Dog’s Head
Hadith 2283
أَخْبَرَنَا الْهَيْثَمُ بْنُ خَلَفٍ الدُّورِيُّ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا الرَّبِيعُ بْنُ ثَعْلَبٍ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو إِسْمَاعِيلَ الْمُؤَدِّبُ ، عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ مَيْسَرَةَ ، عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ زِيَادٍ ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ ، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، قَالَ : " أَمَا يَخْشَى الَّذِي يَرْفَعُ رَأْسَهُ قَبْلَ الإِمَامِ أَنْ يُحَوِّلَ اللَّهُ رَأْسَهُ رَأْسَ الْكَلْبِ " .
Sayyiduna Abu Hurairah, may Allah be pleased with him, narrates this statement of the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him: "Does the person who raises his head before the Imam (from bowing or prostration) not fear that Allah, the Exalted, will transform his head into the head of a dog?"
