Hadith 2281
أَخْبَرَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ السَّامِيُّ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا إِسْمَاعِيلُ بْنُ أَبِي أُوَيْسٍ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنِي سُلَيْمَانُ بْنُ بِلالٍ ، عَنْ يُونُسَ بْنِ يَزِيدَ الأَيْلِيِّ ، عَنِ الزُّهْرِيِّ ، عَنْ سَالِمِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ عُمَرَ ، أَنّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ : " لا تَرْفَعُوا أَبْصَارَكُمْ إِلَى السَّمَاءِ أَنْ تُلْتَمَعَ " يَعْنِي فِي الصَّلاةِ .
Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both) narrates this statement of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him): "Do not raise your gaze towards the sky during prayer, lest it be taken away." The narrator says: That is, do not do this during prayer.
Hadith 2282
أَخْبَرَنَا عِمْرَانُ بْنُ مُوسَى بْنِ مُجَاشِعٍ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا إِبْرَاهِيمُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ الْعَبَّاسِ الشَّافِعِيُّ ، وَعُبَيْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ عُمَرَ الْقَوَارِيرِيُّ ، وَمُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عُبَيْدِ بْنِ حِسَابٍ ، وَشَيْبَانُ بْنُ فَرُّوخٍ ، قَالُوا : حَدَّثَنَا حَمَّادُ بْنُ زَيْدٍ ، عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ زِيَادٍ ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ ، قَالَ : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " أَمَا يَخْشَى الَّذِي يَرْفَعُ رَأْسَهُ قَبْلَ الإِمَامِ أَنْ يُحَوِّلَ اللَّهُ رَأْسَهُ رَأْسَ حِمَارٍ " .
Sayyiduna Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates: The Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Does the person who raises his head before the Imam (from bowing or prostration) not fear that Allah may turn his head into that of a donkey?"
