Chapter on What is Disliked and Not Disliked for the Worshipper
Hadith 2240
أَخْبَرَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ إِسْحَاقَ بْنِ خُزَيْمَةَ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ يَحْيَى الذُّهْلِيُّ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا الْحُمَيْدِيُّ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا مَرْوَانُ بْنُ مُعَاوِيَةَ ، عَنْ يَحْيَى بْنِ كَثِيرٍ الْكَاهِلِيِّ ، عَنِ الْمُسَوَّرِ بْنِ يَزِيدَ الأَسَدِيِّ ، قَالَ : شَهِدْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَقْرَأُ فِي الصَّلاةِ ، فَتَرَكَ شَيْئًا لَمْ يَقْرَأْهُ ، فَقَالَ لَهُ رَجُلٌ : يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ! تَرَكْتَ آيَةَ كَذَا وَكَذَا ، قَالَ : " فَهَلا أَذْكَرْتُمُونِيهَا " .
Sayyiduna Miswar bin Yazid Asadi (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates: I was present with the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) when he was reciting during the prayer. He left out a portion in the middle which he did not recite. (After the prayer) a man said to him: O Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him)! You left out such and such verse. The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) asked: Why did you not remind me of it?
