Chapter on the Obligation to Follow the Imam – Clarification that the Ruling for Fajr Prayer is the Same as Other Prayers in This Matter
Hadith 2193
أَخْبَرَنَا الْحَسَنُ بْنُ سُفْيَانَ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا حِبَّانُ بْنُ مُوسَى ، قَالَ : أَخْبَرَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ ، قَالَ : أَخْبَرَنَا زَكَرِيَّا بْنُ إِسْحَاقَ ، عَنْ عَمْرِو بْنِ دِينَارٍ ، عَنْ عَطَاءِ بْنِ يَسَارٍ ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ ، قَالَ : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " إِذَا أُقِيمَتِ الصَّلاةُ ، فَلا صَلاةَ إِلا الْمَكْتُوبَةَ " .
Sayyiduna Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates: The Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "When the iqamah for prayer is called, only the obligatory prayer may be performed."
