Chapter on the Obligation to Follow the Imam – Command for the Follower to Place Shoes Between His Feet if Removed
Hadith 2187
أَخْبَرَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ الْحَسَنِ بْنِ قُتَيْبَةَ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا حَرْمَلَةُ بْنُ يَحْيَى ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ وَهْبٍ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا عِيَاضُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ ، عَنْ سَعِيدٍ الْمَقْبُرِيِّ ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ ، أَنّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ : " إِذَا صَلَّى أَحَدُكُمْ وَخَلَعَ نَعْلَيْهِ ، فَلْيَجْعَلْهُمَا بَيْنَ رِجْلَيْهِ ، وَلا يُؤْذِ بِهِمَا غَيْرَهُ " .
Sayyiduna Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates this statement of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him): "When a person removes his shoes while performing prayer, he should place them between his feet and should not cause harm to anyone else with them."
